Here we list activities that are not organized by the PA and where the PA cannot take any responsibility. However they have been recommended by reliable persons and may be interesting to our community.

Girl Scouts in the Taunus

Girl Scouts has a long history in the Taunus area, and is not just about camping and cookies! Girl Scouts are involved in many more things than you can imagine! From rock climbing to competitive sports, from trips overseas to trips up the Mississippi River, from meeting the first female space shuttle pilot to meeting the mayor of a local city…Girl Scouts get to do it all! A Louis Harris poll shows that the two highest-rated benefits of being a Girl Scout are the opportunity to have fun and to work with friends on activities. Here in the Taunus area, Girl Scouts go on fun trips with their troop, help in their communities, participate in World Thinking Day, and so much more!

We need volunteers as well as scouts! There is something for everyone in Girl Scouting – whether you want to take on a more active role leading a troop or would rather “get your feet wet” by helping as a parent volunteer or sharing a passion. Are your skills and talents more administrative? We always have positions on our Overseas Committee Management Team (OCMT) – planning events like Thinking Day or a Father / Daughter dance, taking notes at meetings, or recruiting more volunteers – there is something for everyone!
