Our after-school programme is split between childminding and afternoon activities available to children of Parents’ Association members. To become a member, please use the Application for Membership form.

Childminding is offered for pre-primary and primary pupils from Monday to Friday until 17:45. It is run by Familienservice, a professional child care provider also organising the holiday camps. If you wish your child to be cared for every school day until a certain hour, you MUST register your child for childminding. Different than in the past, as of the school year 2011/2012, only those children registered for childminding on a given day can also attend on that day. This also applies if afternoon-activities are cancelled or do not take place in the first week after summer holidays.

The childminding registration form for the new school year 2011/12 is now available; the application deadline is 13 May 2011. Please keep in mind the following points:

Due to the significant financial contribution by the European Central Bank to cover the costs of the childminding premises and services, the Board of the Parents Association has decided that until the deadline the children of ECB staff have priority for a place in childminding. After the deadline remaining places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. At this stage, we expect that capacity will be sufficient to meet the entire demand.

Every registration is valid for the whole school year.

Any change to the initial registration will incur a service charge of 25.00 € for the first change per year and child and 50.00 € for every subsequent change to cover the administration costs.

If your child is collected from childminding later than contractually agreed, the childminding facility is entitled to charge an “extra hour”.

The Parents’ Association has taken accident insurance for all children enrolled in childminding starting November 2010. There is no medical insurance for any incident that should happen during childminding. Potential medical costs have to be borne by the child’s general medical insurance.
